Biography

Thanks for checking out FK Productions! I’m Josh (he/him), and I am the creative director of FK Productions.  I started FK Productions after taking on the photography handle filmkid23 to display photography work that took on a different style than my mainstream work.  I started this as a way to explore new genres and work in a more artistic setting.  The goal of this company is to create artistic representations of you.  This is why I have chosen to focus my work on capturing people.  The genres that I work in allow me to be artistic in ways that other genres have not.  I am so excited for the opportunity to work with you!

I have been working as a photographer for about fifteen years.  During this time, I have worked for many different companies, as well as started my own.  In 2017 I started my video company.  FK Productions was the logical move to have a brand that is solely dedicated to photography since Frost Lake Films is solely dedicated to video production.  Over the years, I have shot countless weddings, commercials, music videos, and a few short films.  I love the work that I do, and I am constantly trying to keep on my toes to be creative and push forward that new idea. 

 

During my undergrad at The University of Western Ontario, I spent a few years as a fashion photographer for one of the biggest fashion clubs on campus. I worked on various photoshoots and runways with the F&LS as well as organized my own shoots for creative projects.  Along with that I worked on many art pieces for school and personal projects. These projects often integrated with my studies of the technological integration of humans and society.

A big part of what I have come to envision for this brand is to be a creative outlet for me and my work.  Creating for the sake of creating is what I imagine this brand to become.  Being in media studies has given me a unique way of interpreting photography and filmmaking as an art.  My goal with you is to create a meaningful, thought-provoking work that reflects both my and your desires and ideas.  I very much look forward to working with you if you think that I would be a good fit for your project!
