FK Productions: A Studio for Creatively Photographing People

Hi, and welcome to my blog! If you haven’t already, check out my About Us page. My name is Josh, and I am the creative director of FK Productions. This blog is just another way for me to showcase my work. However, my goal is to diverge from the basic Instagram posts that you typically see. I aim to provide readers with an insider's view of what goes on in the process of creating a shoot.

Whether it’s a boudoir photoshoot for a client, a commercial fashion shoot for a clothing brand, or me being creative and working on some artsier fine art pieces, I want to take you along on the journey that is my creative process.

I’ve decided to categorize this blog into a few sections. The first ones are based on work genres, but the others are slightly different. These are aimed more towards other photographers as they delve into behind-the-scenes insights into shooting with clients, and they explore gear and post-production workflows.

Fashion Photography

All things fashion will be covered in this blog section. You’ll see work from all of my fashion photography projects, including runways and collaborations with businesses. Follow these posts to learn how I work with larger clients or how I capture magical moments on the runway.

Boudoir Photography

Due to the direct-to-client nature of this genre, these posts will target people looking for or who have already experienced these kinds of shoots. You’ll find information on how to choose photographers, as well as tips on posing and selecting outfits for your shoot. I want this category to be a helpful guide of tips and tricks for boudoir photoshoots so that clients can prepare effectively.

Behind the Scenes and Gear and Production

While I have separated these two categories, they may overlap in the topics they cover. The goal is to create a knowledge base for photographers (including myself) to showcase how I approach different shoots. As mentioned earlier, I want to provide an opportunity to share my work with others to inspire new ideas. I’ve been in the photography field for a long time, and over the years, my workflows have evolved with new technologies and techniques. I believe there’s someone out there who will find this useful, so I hope you’re that person!
